MY
STORY - CATS
The
other members of our family are my lovely Siamese cats,
Coco and Miku. They rule the household. Little Coco
is the runt of the litter, all of seven pounds with
a blockbuster personality, the sexy swagger of a runway
fashion model, the insight of a psychologist and a penchant
both for "talking" on the phone and for throwing up
when she's annoyed.

Miku,
her big brother is sitting on my knee as I work, he's
a true sweetheart and as you can see, his huge translucent
blue eyes show his love.

They
are both so beautiful and yes of course they sleep on
the bed and no they do not roam free, and yes they are
spoiled, but they are my 'babies' and they give me so
much pleasure, and besides, they make us laugh. They
are twelve years old now, getting on in cat years, but
to us they will always be the perky little kittens you
see in this picture. Coco and Miku are the latest in
a long line of beloved beauties, including Pog, the
blue-eyed deaf angora from Brasil; Chocolate, a Havana
the color of her name and my true soul-mate (Oh how
you grieve when you lose them). And Baby, shiny black
with golden eyes, a stray found in a field who, when
we brought him home stayed under Belle's bed for three
weeks before he was confident enough to emerge, and
who became a sweet and gentle and trusting as 'a baby'.
Then there was Cosmo, the gray one and a hunter, and
Ziggie, the tabby who wrecked my curtains clawing her
way up them and grinning fiendishly at me from the top.
And then Miku and Coco.
This
is George, my sister-in-law, Liz's goofy golden retriever
- part of their household of 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 horses.
Liz is a well-known interior designer and more of a
sister to me than an 'in-law'. (And you know what? We
are two Elizabeths - married to two Adler brothers -
therefore we are both Elizabeth Adler)
